NCM 1995-210
This rare Iron Age-Roman 12 spoke wheel is the most complete example of its type and the only example of a wheel whose central hub is constructed from birch wood. It was discovered at Holme Pierrepont, in 1968 when the three Bronze Age log boats, found in the quarry, were being excavated.
