With French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars as a topic for Key Stage 3, the resource uses the experiences of the ‘45th Regiment of Foot’ – an ancestor of the Sherwood Foresters – to tell the story of the British Army in the fight against Napoleon and the Peninsular War.

Including original bayonet, reproduction of the uniform worn at the time and military equipment, personal narratives are introduced through extracts from memoir of William Brown; private soldier.
