Precious Traditions

Resource contains objects from the ‘world cultures’ collection and information on each item. Demonstrating crafts and tradition from across the globe, understand what these tell us about other cultures.

Developed by Illuminate – a young person curators group at Nottingham City Museums – in conjunction with community groups and museum staff, Precious Traditions is a response to ‘Unravelled’, an exhibition of Chinese silk objects created as part of the 2012 Cultural Olympiad.

Activity pack meets National Curriculum requirement for English, Art and Design, Geography History and Drama, Key Stage 1 – 3.
