Around 1910 Professor Henry Hurd Swinnerton of Nottingham University found this fossil footprint in the Mapperley park area of Nottingham. In 1965, a skeleton of a new species of reptile called Pseudosuchians was found. Scientists now think it was one of these reptiles that made the footprint.
