Tooth of an Extinct Shark (Carcharodon megalodon)

Carcharodon may have been more than 12 metres (40 ft) long, 3 times as long as the Great White shark. This is an estimate as only fossilised teeth and some pieces of backbone have been found. However, the teeth are very similar to those of the Great White – but bigger and thicker.
