NCM 1912-31

Patented in 1812, the ‘Pusher’ machine was the first to produce a twisted pattern lace. Made by William Vickers and Son of Weekday Cross in Nottingham, 1870. This shawl is of exhibition quality, where the complex design includes realistic flowers and may be French.
