NCM 1962-320

A medieval louvered ridge tile excavated in Goosegate, Nottingham, in 1961. The tile is green glazed and was made between 1200 and 1400. A tiered structure, it would have been placed on a roof to provide ventilation or allow smoke to escape from a fireplace below.
