NCM 1938-173

Posset was a hot milky drink, to which wine or ale, and often spices, were added. This Nottingham brown salt-glazed stoneware posset pot was made for Samuel Watkinson and his wife Sarah, the Mayor and Mayoress of Nottingham in 1700.
