Ducal Palace Model

A Ducal Palace was erected on the site of Nottingham’s medieval castle by the second Duke of Newcastle, completed by 1679. The palace was burnt to the ground by looters in 1831 as part of the Reform Bill riots. This model was supposedly made for the inquiry into the fire.
